Since 1979, the Materials Testing & Reporting System (MTRS) has set the industry standard in Canada for efficient, accurate materials testing data management. Initially developed as a software package to automate concrete sample reporting, MTRS evolved into a comprehensive solution supporting diverse testing requirements, including concrete, soil, aggregates, and asphalt.

Before the software’s implementation, I have to do all the reports manually and have to do a lot of computation which entails considerable manhours to do. With the software it has helped in reducing the manhours needed to produce reports and I have been able to do devote my time to do other things.

The software has helped to standardize the look of reports. Using the software it gives the younger technicians a sense of order to the reporting process and in a way follows the steps taken when testing the materials in the laboratory.
